San Raymundo, Guatemala - 4
Yesterday morning we went to church at Joy's church in Guatemala City called Fraternidad Christian de Guatemala. It was absolutely amazing. It held over 12,000 people. They had headphones that translated the service into English. It reminded me of a Lakewood Church. Joy typically attends another campus across town that is smaller where they have their own music but have the service broadcast on a big screen. They had a part of the service where they called up anyone who needed healing and they anointed them with oil. They also had an alter call at the end of service where over 15 people came up to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior for the first time. After church we spent the afternoon in Antigua sightseeing and shopping. The city is rich with history and culture. We're currently at the airport waiting to catch our flight home. There are lots of mixed emotions about returning home. David would love to stay and be with the kids. LeeAnn would love to bring a couple of the boys home with her that we just found out their mother just left her two sons with their father and she doesn't appear to plan on returning. Although we were only here short time, we made strong bonds with the people and the country.
Please be in prayer that the boys mother returns. Please also keep the school, the hospital and Joy in your prayers.
